Another New Board Member!
Ken Campbell is one of our newest board members. He has worked on numerous campaigns, and is a member of the Placer County Republican Central Committee and of the California State Republican Central Committee. Until recently, he was the chairman of the Placer County Republican Party. He currently lives in Lincoln with his wife and two children and is a member of Adventure Christian Church.
Education:
1971 – 75 Mira Loma High School, Sacramento, CA
- Graduated with a 3.9 GPA, recognition from California Scholastic Federation and National Honor Society
- Received the award “Outstanding Physical Science Student”
- Played Water Polo, Cross Country and Track

- B.S. in Biochemistry

- Received the award “Outstanding Graduation Senior” for academic excellence and involvement in school and the community
- Member of Theta Xi Fraternity, held numerous leadership positions

Athletics:
- Ran 10 marathons – fastest was 2:39:50 in 1982
- 1986 qualified and was invited to the Olympic distance National Triathlon Championship
- Did the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon in 1987 – featured on ABC Wide World of Sports
- Ran 2 – 50 mile runs and the Western States 100 run mile in 1989
Awards:
1990 – Inducted into “The Governor’s Hall of Fame” by Governor George Dukemajian
1991 – Awarded “Outstanding Young Californian” by CA Jaycees (received this award with San Francisco 49er Ronnie Lott)
1991 - “Young Alumnus of the Year” – UC Davis Alumni Association
1996 - Chosen as a “Community Hero Torchbearer” for the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay
Political:
2000 – 9/14/05
- Chairman, Placer County Republican Party. During this period Placer County registered 34% of the current Republicans to push the County over 50% Republican Registration and become the most Republican County in California. Also during this time, Placer County set records for money raised, volunteers recruited and GOTV performance.

- 1996 - Missions work in Romania and Moldova. It was here I solidified my convictions on the superiority of our Constitutional Republic and the absolute evil of Communism/Socialism.

Glad you're on board, Ken. You have quite a background. Glad to see you have been farming. I'm sure you'll do whatever you can for the pro-life & pro-family causes. I wish you God speed.
I was doing a little research on people who's life had been a inspiration to myself and I thought of Ken. I met Ken in the 80's when he was readying for the CA State Dental Boards and was impressed by his life. I remember watching Wide World of Sports and being thrilled that he was there and so happy for him when he finished! What perserverence...he amazed me!
